Danica McKellar and her husband of one year, Mike Verta, are expecting their first child this fall.

“I’m nearing the end of my first trimester and I’m so excited – I’ve been bursting to tell people,” says McKellar, 35, who played Winnie on The Wonder Years, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

However, she originally put off confirming her suspicions. “I was in the middle of a really intense deadline for my book,” explains McKellar, whose third tome, Hot X: Algebra Exposed, comes out in August.

“I wanted to put off the [pregnancy] test because I didn’t want any distractions. That only lasted a day – I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I caved! You can’t try to put that off.”

Initially, even McKellar herself couldn’t believe the news. “When you do take the home pregnancy test, it doesn’t quite seem real,” notes the mathematician and mom-to-be. “But when you see the baby and the heartbeat on the ultrasound, it’s so incredible.”

“Me and Mike looked at each other and we could not stop the tears,” she says. “We are so happy.”

No,” Moore told reporters in New York Monday about her onscreen tryst with Seyfried. “Whenever you have an intimate scene with somebody, you’re very prepared. Everyone knows exactly what’s happening and it’s usually very choreographed … Amanda and I were comfortable with each other.”

Britney Spears’ relationship with Jason Trawick is once again just business. She and Trawick, her talent agent, split up at the end of February after dating for about a year, E! News reports, though Trawick is still representing Spears, his agency, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, confirms.

Trawick has been credited with being a stabilizing influence on Spears (and he gets bonus points for not knocking her up again). The relationship reportedly fizzled a bit over the holidays, but they were back together for the Grammys in January and were last spotted together on Valentine’s Day at — where else? — a McDonald’s drive-thru.

Meanwhile, TMZ.com reports that Spears’ conservatorship may be coming to an end after two years, even though Spears’ most recent date with the judge in her case was delayed this week. Jamie Spears, her father, has control over her affairs since her epic meltdown in which she lost custody of her two children with Kevin Federline, shacked up with a paparazzo and spent some quality time at UCLA’s neuropsychiatric ward.

Tim Burton’s, “Alice in Wonderland” made record breaking revenue in its opening weekend despite horrendous reviews from critics. It was, in fact, the biggest opening for a Tim Burton film ever. This adaptation of the classic tale, starring Johnny Depp, is not a remake of Disney’s animated version from 1951. Instead it is a continuation of the original plot. There were moments that dragged, and although it didn’t live up to my expectations, I thought it was a good movie overall.

The movie begins with six year-old Alice having constant nightmares of falling down a hole into a strange world with a white rabbit and a talking blue caterpillar. Her father tells her night after night that it’s just a bad dream. The film then fast forwards to nineteen-year-old Alice, played by Mia Wasikowska, on her way to be engaged to the perfectly dreadful Hamish Ascot.
